What makes this collaboration special is how it started — not in a meeting room, but on the golf course, in the most natural way: unexpectedly and genuinely.
I have spent my summer holidays in Vuokatti, Katinkulta for decades. Golf has always been a key part of my summer — I play almost daily. Every year I may play a little worse, but Is till love being out on the course.
One day, I was heading out for a practice round at Tenetti course, when Veeti and his brother suddenly appeared at the tee and asked if I was about to start my round (around 10:00, if I remember correctly). I replied:
“Yes —you’re welcome to join me.”
At first, one detail caught my attention: Veeti was wearing long trousers in the middle of summer. I wondered why — but the answer became clear very quickly.
Veeti’s first shot said everything. It wasn’t a “junior shot” — it was powerful, controlled and focused. At that moment I realized he wasn’t on the course only to play golf —he was working toward something much bigger.
The round was enjoyablein every way. I got a great motivator and had to try my best… even
though,honestly, I got beaten by a 15-year-old.
During and after the round, we talked about what competitive golf truly requires: discipline,training, mindset and long-term support. I asked Veeti directly:
“CouldElena help you on your journey toward becoming a professional golfer?”The answer was cautiousat first — as it should be — but we agreed to continue the discussion later. Wedid, and it led to a decision: Elena will support Veeti on his journey towardthe unknown — and toward the top.
Later we met with Veeti,his father, and the club management and agreed on a partnership starting in 2026.
The goal is to support Veeti in a practical and long-term way, while also raising awareness for junior golf in Finland.

My name is Veeti Sirviö, and I am a 16-year-old sports high school student from Sotkamo, Finland. I come from an athletic family and have played various stick and racket sports since childhood, including ice hockey, floorball and tennis. Golf has been my summer sport alongside other disciplines, and I have competed in junior tournaments at Kajaani Golf for several years.
When I moved to middle school, I joined the Vuokatti Golf Academy camps during 8th and 9th grade. The camps helped me improve, meet new friends from across Finland, and most importantly grow my passion for golf. Since then, I have trained year-round with clear goals.
What I love about golf is its challenge. A good round requires strong technique, physical fitness, mental resilience, and understanding of rules and etiquette. Last summer I
competed in Dormy Future Tour (Northern Finland events) and Kainuu Open. This coming summer, my goal is to travel more across Finland to compete in DormyFuture Tour tournaments and also play FJT Challenge events.
Currently I train with the Sotkamo Sports High School golf group and the Katinkulta Golf competitive training team. During winter, training focuses on strength& conditioning and swing technique development in the simulator. In summer, Katinkulta’s courses, training facilities, and coaches provide an excellent environment for high-quality training.
I am excited for the upcoming season and the partnership with Elena Yhtiöt Oy.
